During our first week back to school we took part in the Mini Marathon. We had to run around the school field 12 times.

We have enjoyed playing cricket with Tom this half term.

Another multi sports event with Newcastle United Foundation at Alnwick Town Juniors. This time with Year 3 and 4. Thank you very much for having us. The children had a fantastic time.

In our Science lessons this half term we have started learning about electricity. After making a circuit the children in class 2 designed and made a picture with a light or a moving part using motors, switches and bulbs.

In our R.E lessons Class 2 have been learning about Pentecost. Angela also told us the story of Pentecost in an 'Open the Book' worship.

During Mental Health Week we thought about things which make us happy.

In our Geography lessons we are learning about living sustainably.  We were very lucky this week to have one of our parents come to talk to us about his job on an offshore wind farm. We learned lots about wind turbines, how big they are, how long it takes to make them, how much electricity they produce as well as what it is like to live and work offshore. There are so many different jobs and skills needed to make a wind farm. We learned a lot and were inspired by the presentation. Many thanks.
