Spring Term 1
Enjoying our first day back to school in the snow.
In science this half term we are learning about solids, liquids and gases. The snow gave us an opportunity to observe water in two different states as a solid and a liquid.
This week we took part in the School Games Multi-skills competition which we all really enjoyed. We were very pleased and proud as the Year 3s won Gold and the Year 4s won silver.
We have been cooking in our DT lessons. We have learned to peel, cut and slice . We have also designed and created our own vegetable tarts. We considered appearance, and texture. They tasted delicious.
We have been making papyrus style paper and then taking inspiration from the Ancient Egyptians to create our own scrolls.
National Storytelling Week 2026, celebrating the power of reading and writing for pleasure. We have enjoyed community storytelling in school this week.
