Mini Marathon - Summer 1
We began our Summer term by taking part in the mini marothon with Joe Wicks. We have completed 12 laps of our Daily Mile track and recieved a while school trophy and individual certificates!
Open Afternoon - Summer 1
To show off our leanring about climate awareness and how we can help our beautiful planet, we invited our parents into school and completed some activities with them. We all made some bird feeders to help finish off our leanring in PSHE last half term, RSPB bird watch and then talked to our visitors about different ways in which we can help, for example, picking up litter, turning off lights when we aren't using them and walking to school.Â
Putting out our Bird Feeders - Summer 1
After making our bird feeders in our open afternoon session on Friday, we used some time during our Science lesson to find the best places to put them out for our birds. Can you spot where we put some of them?Â
Multi-skills Event at Belford Primary - Summer 1
This week, we were very lucky to be invited to a multi-skills event at Belford Primary school with other schools in our alliance. We loved going round the different stations, with a particular favourite being the scarecrow game. We made some new firends and even saw some that we see at different after school activities we are part of. It was a brilliant afternoon!
Cricket with Tom - Summer 1
In PE this half term, we have been very lucky to have some crocket sessions with Tom Vickers. We realluy enjoy leanring lots of differetn skills and playing lots of different games with Tom.Â
Cloud Tales - Alnwick Playhouse - Summer 1
We had a fantastic trip to Alnwick Playhouse, where we took part in a workshop called Cloud Tales. We used our imaginations to get creative and think about different stories we could make using the different shapes we can see in thecloud in the sky. We worked collaboratively as a class to come with different ending to two different stories, one called the dragon who ate a country and Duggie dog is chessed off! We were brilliant!Â
Science - Summer 1
In Science this half term, we've been learning about plants. To help us understand more about what a plant is, this week we diseceted different flowers and labelled the different parts including the stem, petal, leaves, flower as well as pollen and anther as a challenge.Â
Alnwick Town Juniors - Multiskills Event - Summer 2
We enjoyed a lovely morning at Alnwick Town Juniors pitch with Michael and Sam, where we were able to take part in different multi-skills games. We worked well with Embleton and got to make some new friends at the same time. It was a brilliant morning!
Children's Countryside Day - Wooler
We had a fantastic trip the countryside day at Wooler. We got to learn a lot about our local area and the different roles in our farming landscape. We really enjoyed hearing from different farmers, companies and emergency services. They gave us lots of lovely goodies too! We even got to try some vension burgers and peas.Â
Sports Day - Summer 2
We had a rather soggy sports day this half term but even so we managed to complete some of our races. The children gave 100% despite the conditions and cheered each other on well! Well done Class One and Early Years!
Gladiator Steel Visit - Summer 2
We were very lucky to be able to have Steel off gladiators. He talked to us about the importance of eating healthy, keeping hydrated as well as being confident and brave. He also taught us some tips to help us when we are nervous. We got some stickers, a water bottle and a signed postcard! A big thank you to the PTA who organised such a brilliant treat for us!
