Welcome to our Summer term in Early Years!

Our first week back was a busy one, we took part in the London Mini Marathon for schools and all the children ran a total distance of 2 miles, we completed it by doing laps of our running track each day. Well done everyone!

We held our open afternoon where families and visitors could join us and what a fabulous afternoon we had! The children love sharing their learning with their families. We had the opportunity to make bird feeders, plant a sunflower seed and sort the recycling as well as play with our friends and show all the grown ups what we can do - children were digging in the construction area, getting the ducks to travel down the water pipes and having endless fun in the sun!

We were so excited for our first Wheelie Wednesday session, weshowed all the children the new bikes and the new helmets, we then talked about bike safety and why we need to listen to the instructions of how to use the brake and check your tyres and height of the seat and then how to tighten the helmet and to make sure it fits well. We did riding with small steps taking turns and gliding today. This is going to be a weekly session within our timetable and the children thoroughly enjoyed this!
