As a school We invited our families to an open morning with a history focus. In Early Years we recapped the significance of the poppy and how it is a symbol of remembrance. We then had the opportunity to explore a real evacuees suitcase and looked at what they had packed and how some things were different to what they are like today. We made clay poppies and packed what we would pack in our evacuee suitcase too.
