Attendance

During the COVID 19 pandemic attendance was understandably lower for some children due to bubbles closing and children having to isolate, for some children on more than one occasion. Now that restrictions have been lifted we have implemented a number of ways to promote good attendance as well as support families who find this difficult. Please do not hesitate to speak to Belinda Athey - Headteacher in confidence for further details, support or advice.

Our Attendance Target is 96%. As you will see from the data above, we have met this target and greatly exceeded it in many year groups. We value the importance of attendance and work closely with families to ensure that all children have high attendance. We analyse attendance each half term and contact parents directly if attendance is an issue to see if we can help support in the first instance. We also educate our families to understand the impact that attendance has on current and future learning.

If there are ongoing issues, we work closely with our Education Welfare Officer to help us further engage and support families.

Attendance for 2020-21
We exceeded our attendance targets for this year with the exception of the Year 4 cohort. This will be monitored closely for the School Year 2021-22.
