Our story today is Willy the wimp by Anthony Browne. 
We will be using good listening skills, using bullet points to write out a list of items referred to in the story. Writing sentences about how Willy changes during the story and using conjunctions to link ideas.

RE and Worship
During the half term holiday you make have had some wonderful pancakes on Pancake Day. The correct name for this in the Christian Calendar is Shrove Tuesday. With your grown up I would like you to look through the powerpoint together.( It is underneath this text box) Write down at least 5  important things you have found out about Lent (don't forget to use a pencil and remember to use your punctuation correctly) and then tell me either what you are giving up or what you have decided to do.

 PSHE task - I had some wonderful  posters and photos of healthy meals with you 5 a day from lots of you but not everyone. Please make sure you continue to upload your work. Here is a reminder of what we were doing before the half term holiday -

Plan to  help your grown up to make a healthy lunch or evening meal( which has some of you 5 a day) this week. Take a photo of your meal and send it to me on Class Dojo.

Art 

Lesson focus - Native American pattern 

In our Geography lesson this week we learnt about Chistopher Columbus. We began to learn about the American people that he met when he arrived there. The people he met were the first people to live in America. Native American people used beautiful patterns in their clothes and art and today you are going to have a go at recreating some of these patterns. 

I have attached a PDF below for you use to research the patterns or you can search in books or use the internet to find out more. 

Once you have finished researching you can then make your own Native American pattern! You can use any resources that you have around your house including paint, pencils, collage or even found objects in the garden like pebbles and sticks! I can’t wait to see your creative designs.
