Northumberland Day -
We have enjoyed dressing up in the colours of the Northumbrian Flag and we have been very busy across the school creating our own Northumbrian themed outdoor art gallery.
Our new fitness equipment.
As part of commitment to keeping fit and healthy we have installed new outdoor fitness equipment which we are taking turns using at break time and as part of our PE lessons.
Northumberland Day Activities.
We got off to a great start ( despite the rain) to decorating our school for Northumberland Day. The Alnwick Rotary Club kindly donated £100 to school to spend on plants. During Forest School this week Miss Clark and some of the class one children brightened up our newly refurbished playground with plants following the Northumbrian theme of red and yellow using marigolds and geraniums.
National Numeracy Day - We have been working hard to develop our mathematics provision whilst also ensuring our children have a positive attitude to maths and have fun while learning and we wore costumes with a mathematical theme.

We are working on an initiative called ‘We are Rise’ https://www.wearerise.co.uk which has been created to help promote active lifestyles and we have to demonstrate a different activity each day and share it on our school Twitter and Facebook pages. Here are a selection of just some of the activities across the school.

Take a look at some of our 15 minute daily dances here - https://youtu.be/8zhvPILdeiU and https://youtu.be/M8MJ-6Jn2S0

Our New Playground Markings which were designed by the children during Lockdown 3 in February 2021 and by May 2021 are now in place making our school grounds even better.
During Christian Aid Week ( 10th -16th May) each class contributed to a virtual assembly on the theme of Water and the link was shared with our families to enjoy.
