Early Years 2019-20
Welcome to Early Years. What a busy start to our new school year! We have enjoyed exploring our newly decorated classroom along with the brand new resources. So many exciting challenges each of us have been completing from writing our name, counting and producing some amazing Lego models. I can't wait to see what is in store over the next school year! Miss Armstrong. We also share lots more on our online learning journal, Tapestry so please make sure you log in regularly.
We had an incredible surprise in the classroom for World Book Day. The children arrived into the classroom to be greeted by the white rabbit and a Mad Hatter's Tea Party. All the children looked amazing in their costumes and they loved sharing their stories with us.
The children have been loving the new topic, 'Let the adventures begin.' We started with a blank castle and the children enjoyed decorating it. They have loved pulling the drawbridge up and down.
The children loved the arrival of the dragon eggs. They measured the footprints that the mummy and daddy dragon to figure out which dragon had left the eggs. They loved the investigation figuring out who it was.
Early Years enjoyed a visit from Mrs Athey’s puppy.
We loved adding our Christmas wishes to the Christmas pudding. We think it will taste even better this year with everyone wishing extra hard.
Nursery loved making play dough with Mrs Manners. They had to count how many cups they needed of each ingredient and work together to mix it and create the final product.
EYFS enjoyed making Christmas crowns. They decided they would be princesses and princes.
