Caren Henderson visited school today from The Woodland Trust to talk about how important tree are to us and what purposes they have for the planet.
The children leaned about how trees give us oxygen, keep our planet cool, absorbing moisture from the ground, provide wood for fuel and furniture and many other resources.
The children discovered that our native ash tree is under threat and 90% of our ash trees will be wiped out in the next few years.

We will be planting trees on our school grounds in November as part of our Forest School.
